Tyre modelling has always been a challenging topic because of all several factors that must be considered, together with their deformable visco-elastic and non-linear behaviour; one of the most famous ways to calculate steady-state tyre forces is through the so-called Pacejka “Magic Formula”. The main goal of this thesis is the estimation of all the Magic Formula coefficients related to the chosen level of complexity of the model, that is considering the sensitivity to the vertical load Fz. This is fundamental to understand how tires are running and, in a racing environment, to better comprehend and predict the optimal usage window in every track to gain performance. The results are calculated only in the pure lateral case, excluding events involving strong longitudinal accelerations.
