This thesis concerns the structural analysis of a residential building constructed using an innovative construction system based on wood-cement conglomerate formwork blocks, marketed under the ISOTEX® brand. The work focuses mainly on the structural aspects of the project, deliberately not delving into particularly specific evaluations of an energetic, acoustic, thermal and respect for the environment; however, a modest section will be dedicated to these issues at the end of this work, where the further advantages of using this technical solution will be briefly illustrated. The main objective here is to verify the compliance of the construction system under study, classifiable among the systems with "weakly reinforced extended walls", with the prescriptions of the Technical Standards for Construction and the related explanatory Circular currently in force, in terms of structural safety and resistance to seismic events. The entire modeling process and an initial part of the checks were conducted using the finite element calculation software PRO_SAP®, through which it was possible to analyze the response of the newly constructed building to the static and dynamic actions required by the aforementioned regulations. The second part of the checks relating to the walls made of wood-cement conglomerate formwork blocks was conducted using the PRO_LWR calculation software from ISOTEX®, customized for their products, simple and convenient to use for PRO_SAP® users, as the data import from the latter program occurs automatically. In order to complete the work an economic comparison between the solution made with formwork blocks and other more common solutions (focusing attention on the costs of materials and labor) will be reported and also the story of my positive experience on site, with the support of images taken by the undersigned, will be briefly described.
