Consumer’s today demand unparalleled level of transparency and authenticity regarding the products they purchase. This report, titled “Enhancing Consumer Trust Through Digital Product Passport according to the case study of ID factory”, that Investigates the transformative potential of Digital Product Passport (DPPs) as a pivotal mechanism to enhance Transparency around a product’s sustainability, providing consumers with deeper insights into its environmental impact, material composition, recyclability or ethical practices. Research study analyzes qualitative methodology, integrating practical insights garnered from an intensive internship experience, training and company visit within the industry and Primary data collected through in-depth interviews with industry professionals. This research also draws upon comprehensive secondary data that includes information meticulously gathered from company websites, official social media channels, promotional brochures and other publicly available sources to provide a comprehensive and empirically supported analysis to identify emerging trend and practical implications of DPPs in a dedicated case study on ID factory, an Italian based company, further exemplifies these concepts. Findings reveal how ID factory utilize digital IDs to create end-to-end transparency in fashion supply chains demonstrating its measurable impact on consumer behavior, increased brand loyalty and broader industry adoption by enabling brands to communicate their sustainability efforts.
