This thesis explores the relationship between fashion and sustainability, tracing the evolution of fashion from a tool of social distinction and mass industrial production to its contemporary reinterpretation in ethical, artisanal, and circular terms. After a historical and theoretical reconstruction of the fashion system, the research focuses on slow fashion as an alternative model to fast fashion, examining its social, cultural, and economic implications. Particular attention is given to communication strategies and brand identity within sustainable businesses, analyzed through academic sources and case studies. In this context, La Spolina is presented as a representative case study of the valorization of craftsmanship and the recovery of traditional knowledge, demonstrating how sustainability can become not only a productive practice but also a narrative and communicative asset for contemporary fashion.

Abstract
This thesis explores the relationship between fashion and sustainability, tracing the evolution of fashion from a tool of social distinction and mass industrial production to its contemporary reinterpretation in ethical, artisanal, and circular terms. After a historical and theoretical reconstruction of the fashion system, the research focuses on slow fashion as an alternative model to fast fashion, examining its social, cultural, and economic implications. Particular attention is given to communication strategies and brand identity within sustainable businesses, analyzed through academic sources and case studies. In this context, La Spolina is presented as a representative case study of the valorization of craftsmanship and the recovery of traditional knowledge, demonstrating how sustainability can become not only a productive practice but also a narrative and communicative asset for contemporary fashion.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
