The following project aims at the development of a methodology to assess relevant correlations between objective metrics and subjective evaluations during testing of vehicles' handling performances. Five different vehicles are tested and evaluated by expert drivers on a series of selected categories, while a set of selected Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are calculated from measurement data. Both the drivers Subjective Evaluations (SEs) and KPIs are preprocessed through an autocorrelation algorithm aimed at removing data redundancy, and their correlation analysed through the Spearman's coefficient for monotonic correlations and the Distance Metric for non-monotonic correlations. Results of the analysis are presented and explained, showing both original and well known correlations in vehicle dynamics literature, with both a mechanical and psychological origin. Finally, project conclusions and future developments for research and the automotive industry are presented.

Abstract
Finally, project conclusions and future developments for research and the automotive industry are presented.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
