In today’s industrial landscape, operational excellence is essential for long-term competitiveness and sustainable growth. Among structured management systems, World Class Manufacturing (WCM) stands out for its systematic methodologies and focus on continuous improvement. This thesis was developed within a continuous improvement initiative at Tetra Pak, a global leader in food packaging, recognized for its commitment to WCM practices. The study applies the 12-Step Kaizen methodology to a case at the Converting Factory in Rubiera (Italy), following the process from problem definition to solution standardization. The main objective was to optimize a production process by eliminating losses, reducing costs, and minimizing waste, thereby improving resource efficiency and strengthening the sustainability of operations. The results show that the disciplined use of WCM and Kaizen tools can deliver tangible gains in efficiency, quality, and environmental performance.

Abstract
The results show that the disciplined use of WCM and Kaizen tools can deliver tangible gains in efficiency, quality, and environmental performance.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
