The thesis consists of two parts. The first part defines the state of the art of the CAN, SAE J1939, and ISOBUS protocols and describes their use in precision agriculture as communication protocols between heavy machinery and implements. The second part describes the project implemented using ISOBUS protocols. Part One Part One describes the theoretical aspects related to the communication protocols used in the project. Chapter 3 shows the fundamentals of the CAN and SAE J1939 communication protocols. Chapters 4 focus on ISOBUS, explaining the main concepts, including structure, operation. Part Second The second part of the thesis presents the project, which was developed in collaboration with a company and is therefore subject to a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA); in this section, we will attempt to outline the structure and future solutions within the limits of the NDA.
