This thesis aims to present the work carried out during the academic internship at the italian company Alite, with the objective of developing an electronic system for con- trol and monitoring of a blue diode laser source. The internship activity is part of the European project WISE, whose goal is to design and realize an innovative high-precision multi-process machine which integrates macro-scale and micro-nanoscale processes within a single workflow, mainly based on laser processing for the manufacturing industry. The following work initially presents the context of the WISE project, of which this internship is part, focusing on the machine architecture and its processes to realize three demonstrative use cases. The theoretical background is then introduced in the second chapter to familiarize the reader with blue laser diodes and drivers technology. The third chapter provides a system overview to give a detailed description about the internship activities, which are divided into: characterization of blue laser diode modules, implementation of an optical beam combiner for two blue laser beams, and the driver circuit architecture. The fourth chapter describes the circuit design of the electronic driver and the measurement tests adopted. The fifth chapter will show the results obtained for each activity, supported by data, tables, and graphs. Finally, the conclusions summarize the results and provide an overall assessment of the achieved outcomes.
