Abstract This thesis analyzes the main Human Resource Management (HRM) practices through the case study of Oniverse, an international group operating in the fashion retail sector. The aim of the research is to understand how Employer Branding, Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, and Retention processes contribute to managing the employee life cycle, how these practices have evolved in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, and how they relate to the relevant academic literature. The study adopts a qualitative approach based on the analysis of documentary sources, corporate materials, and direct observations gained through an internship experience within the Group’s Human Resources function. After outlining the theoretical framework on HRM, with particular attention to attraction, selection, onboarding, and employee retention strategies, the research examines the literature on the role of HRM during the pandemic. The Oniverse case study is then presented, focusing on the evolution of its HR practices during the Covid-19 period. The findings show that Employer Branding, Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, and Retention have contributed to the Group’s ability to attract, recruit, onboard, and retain employees, demonstrating substantial consistency with key theoretical perspectives, while also reflecting adaptations driven by organizational needs and specific contextual factors. Regarding the impact of Covid-19, the pandemic emerges primarily as an accelerator of ongoing transformations, fostering the digitalization of HR processes and strengthening initiatives aimed at employee engagement and support. The thesis concludes that, in the case of Oniverse, the pandemic represented not only a critical phase but also an opportunity for organizational evolution, contributing to the reinforcement of the strategic role of the HR function. The analysis ultimately highlights that the effectiveness of HRM practices does not depend solely on the introduction of new tools, but on the ability to coherently integrate the different stages of the employee life cycle, balancing organizational objectives, people-oriented approaches, and the creation of long-term sustainable value.
