In recent years, increasingly stringent emissions and safety regulations have significantly in- fluenced the sports car industry, resulting in heavier vehicles and the widespread adoption of downsized, turbocharged powertrains. As a result, a growing interest has emerged in preserving the driving experience of classic sports cars while incorporating modern standards of performance, reliability, and usability. This trend has contributed to the development of the restomod sector, a niche market focused on upgrading historic vehicles through the integration of contemporary engineering solutions while maintaining their original character and design. F4Only S.r.l., an Italian company specialized in the restoration and enhancement of classic Ferrari vehicles, particularly the iconic Ferrari F40, has undertaken the development of a restomod project based on the Ferrari 328 platform. The objective of the project is to modernize the vehicle while preserving the design and distinctive characteristics that contributed to the success of the original model. This thesis forms part of the overall vehicle development program and addresses the engineer- ing activities required to support the transformation of a classic sports car into a modern high- performance vehicle. In particular, the work focuses on the kinematic development and analysis of the suspension attachment points required to accommodate the wider bodywork and the redesigned rear chassis. Through the use of CAD modelling and simulation tools, different suspension config- urations were evaluated and refined while complying with the geometric, packaging, and structural constraints imposed by the original vehicle architecture and the newly designed components.

Abstract
Through the use of CAD modelling and simulation tools, different suspension config- urations were evaluated and refined while complying with the geometric, packaging, and structural constraints imposed by the original vehicle architecture and the newly designed components.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
